Ske'umbra

In this Demo, you must survive one night in the forest after being accused of murder. Try to save not only yourself, but the life of your human companion, while also doing your best to forge a good relationship with both men accompanying you.

Ske'umbra is a mock-game developed for the Winter Visual Novel Jam 2023. Chapters 0 and 1 are available to play. We will not further develop this game, so anyone that plays it is welcome to fill in the gaps of what's missing and what would happen next.

                                  

Main Character: Belonging to a family with a recent loss, the MC struggles to cope with the inheritance left in their name and ends up being thrown off a cliff by their own cousin. Whether they'll deal with their issues with compassion, and be driven by impulsiveness or reason, is entirely up to you!

Ritnã: A brooding man, skilled in archery and captain to the rangers of the fable's kingdom. He is level-headed in most situations and agrees to tag along with the MC in their quest to prove their innocence.

Ícaro: A local journalist for the "Mystery Gate" blog, he thrives in research and exploration, believing completely in the legends whispered in the dead of night. Getting tangled up in MC's quest, he agrees to tag along and help them unravel the mysteries of the forest.

Total story length: around 21k words.

Average playtime for one ending: around 1 hour and 30 minutes

You can choose your name and select which character to play.

You can choose what to call your furry friend.

Your choices will affect your relationships and fate.

There are 10 different endings to explore (5 bad, 3 neutral and 2 good).

There are two language options: English and Portuguese.
